Thug choked woman during vicious attack before throwing her dog into concrete – Lancs Live
A man who choked a woman during an aggresive attack before throwing the girl dog into concrete has been jailed.
Richard Dobinson pushed the woman to the floor and chocked her causing her breathing to become restricted. Carlisle Crown Court heard how the victim made her way to another room before Dobinson grabbed the victim assaulting her.
In a separate incident, Dobinson made threats to the woman before kicking her dog and picking it up and throwing it onto concrete causing the dog to lose two teeth. The 37-year-old was sentenced for two counts of intentional strangulation, two counts of assault a person thereby occasioning them actual bodily harm and causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal.

Dobinson, of Burnsall Grange, Leed, was jailed for two plus half years after appearing at Carlisle Crown Court yesterday (February 1).
Detective Constable Toby Gott, associated with Cumbria Police , said: “Dobinson subjected the victim to a number of assaults including strangling to victim to the point she couldn’t breathe.
“We take violent offences extremely seriously and we encourage victims and witnesses to report incidents in order to us. Please know that you will be listened to, you will be offered support and any crimes will be investigated sensitively by dedicated specialist officers. ”
