Assistance League Coachella Valley removes barriers for children, teens and senior citizens facing financial hardship. Our members donate their time and talents to make a difference in our community. Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Desert
Big Brothers Big Sisters creates and supports one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. We are seeking volunteers in order to mentor children age 6-18 in the Coachella Valley. Volunteer requirements include being able to spend four to eight hours a month mentoring a child, having good transportation, completing a background check and enrollment process and following our guidelines and program procedures for a successful development of a mentoring relationship. FIND, the desert’s regional food bank needs volunteers to help feed every family and person experiencing food insecurity. Guide Dogs of the Wasteland
Offer puppy raisers needed. Seeking individuals over 18 and families to foster our own puppies. As a puppy raiser, your job is to help the dog learn about the world and about interacting with humans in a variety of situations. The puppy will remain in your home until they are 18 to 24 months old. Ophelia Project is recruiting female mentors to facilitate a return to in-person program delivery in the 2022-23 school year. Ophelia Project serves teenage girls throughout eighth through 12th grade across Coachella Valley.
