TRUSSVILLE — Dog Supplies Plus has opened its newest location at 1672 Gadsden Highway. It will offer local pet parents a hassle-free way to find better products for their pets while saving them money and celebrating the fun of pet ownership.
In addition , the store will offer amenities such as four self-pet wash stations, grooming, a knowledgeable pet care team, and a carry-out service in which team members carry heavy items to neighbors’ cars.
The new store is owned by an entrepreneur, former worldwide model, and film producer, Barry Chase Foster. Raised in the Trussville area from 1960 to 1986, Foster modeled for brands such as Tommy Hilfiger, Jockey, Marlboro, and he was the first “Miller Genuine Draft Guy” and acted plus produced television. A Renaissance Man, Foster also worked in aesthetic pharmaceutical studies, marketing and sales. Still, he wanted to open a business in his hometown to fulfill his love and passion for the dog community.
“It feels great to be back, as I truly love the state of Alabama, and I’m honored to bring home a business that will provide a valuable need to our pet community while also providing additional jobs to the area, ” Foster said. “Pet Supplies Plus will be the go-to place for family pet parents to get great products, services such as grooming and self-pet wash stations, and a community room that can be utilized for get-togethers or birthday parties. ”
Becoming a community partner, Family pet Supplies Plus is the official sponsor for the Trussville Police Department and has donated Redford dog food to the K9 unit.
“Thanks to the generous donation by Pet Supplies Plus associated with Redford Dog Food, it has really fueled our K9s with the energy and strength they need to perform at the optimal level, ” Officer Nate Holloway said. “Pet Materials Plus and Barry Foster have been a great addition to the Trussville community, and we look forward to seeing them thrive for years to come. ”
Pet Supplies Plus will also work with local animal shelters, rescue organizations, and non-profits in order to host year-round adoption events, fundraisers, and dog food and product drives.
They will offer Trussville pet parents a wide selection of natural pet foods, goods plus pet services at low prices and focus on an unique in-store experience for “neighbors” (the term Pet Supplies Plus uses for customers).
Pet parents are always welcome to shop with their dogs at the store, where knowledgeable team members are on-site to answer questions, offer tips or just get on their hands and knees to play with pets who enter the store.
Neighbors have access to a large, private, fully-equipped community room for non-profits to use free of charge and an experienced and knowledgeable team to help all of them find everything they need. Each team member is extensively trained in natural and holistic foods and can answer a broad range of questions about canines, cats, birds, reptiles, plus fish.
